How to identify the quality of carbide rotary files
There are a wide variety of carbide rotary files on the market, with different prices, including various domestic brands, imported brands, and miscellaneous brands. How to distinguish their quality is crucial.
We can make a preliminary identification from the following aspects, but the most reliable identification is still actual measurement comparison.
Welding method
At present, there are two welding methods for carbide rotary files on the market, flat-bottom silver welding and tail hole copper welding. The flat-bottom silver welding structure is relatively simpler, the welding stress is small, the required welding temperature is low, and the performance of the alloy and steel handle is not greatly affected. Therefore, in general, flat-bottom silver welding has better quality, more stable, and higher cost.
Concentricity
The concentricity of a good carbide rotary file is generally controlled within 10 wires.
Depth and thickness of the teeth
The tooth shape of a good carbide rotary file looks heavy and reliable, and it feels obvious when touched.
The brightness of the teeth
The brightness of the teeth is a side confirmation of the sharpness of the file teeth. The brighter the file teeth, the sharper they are, and vice versa.
Alloy performance is also a key factor
Alloy performance testing requires destructive testing and the use of special testing equipment to test the hardness, bending strength, porosity and metallographic structure of the alloy.
